The Challenge:
a family owns a beautiful, classic brooklyn townhouse with original details. they need to modernize the entryway and living room, incorporating heirloom furniture with new pieces, updating what was a mish-mash of pieces and styles into a fresh, coherent and functional space for them and their two children.
The Solution:
We created 4 themes for the entryway and 3 themes for the living room, offering an array of options. these ranged from subtle and luxurious, to playful and full of wild character.
Entry Option #1 - Black/White/Peach
A hip and playful scheme, mixing an unusual, black and white toile with black, farmhouse wainscoting. Peachy accents top it off with a season-less, chic feel.
Earthy Colors
Warm rust, navy and muted turquoise eye-candy that will please the entire family. Organic shapes in the wall hooks and gorgeous light fixture complete the space.
Iridescent Luxury
Walking into this entry is like taking a mind trip to marble quarries in Italy, the ultimate luxury walking in the door. The wallpaper plays off the tones in the tile and the light fixture ties them both together beautifully.
Dripping with Good Times
Sink into a deep charcoal, velvet sofa, legs up on an oversized ottoman, and gaze up at golden wallpaper while sipping on a Manhattan? Yes, please!
A Sweet Sanctuary
Delicate floral fabric for upholstery in candy colors, air-brushed, pastel wallpaper with hints of gold, and a magical bauble light fixture that reflects all the charm of the space perfectly.
Timeless Tradition with Modern Flair
A soothing palette of warm blue-grey, muted apricot, and sweet cream, this scheme is an effortless choice. The rug is colorful without drawing too much attention to itself and the chandelier evokes a certain Hollywood regency style glam yet subtle style.
